Excitement:   
Recently we completed a wonderful week of VBS.  What an exciting week it was as Bro. Marcus and Todd Reams led us to "Outrigger Island" for an awesome week of Bible study, snacks, music and lots of fun.  On Friday night we hosted the "Wet & Wild Family Night" and what an incredible time of fun and excitement.  I would like to express my thanks to all the workers for your ministry and labor of love that you provided during this wonderful week of outreach to our kids.

9 V batteries:  Once again we will be working with the Walton Fire Department to canvas the city and encourage families to change the batteries in their smoke detectors.  We will have a box in the hallway for you to bring in those 9 v batteries. 

Minister of Music:  In this issue you will find a letter written by Nate Bordeaux.  As you know Bro. Nate who has served our congregation for almost 6 years has resigned.  Please remember them in your prayers.
God bless you Nate and Christy and know that you will be missed.  Please, don't forget that on Sunday night, July 6th immediately following the evening service, we will be having a ?farewell reception' in their honor.  

* FREEDOM/4th of JULY!  The Bible declares this great truth concerning the blessings of God upon America.  It says in Ps. 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" There are four brief thoughts that need to be made concerning this statement.

1. Reflection upon God's Word: This will lead us to understand God's plan, promise and purpose for America.
2. Reverence for God:  The word of God leads us to understand how awesome our God is.
3. Respect for God's House:  The local church enable us to learn reverence for God.
4. Repentance from Sin:  When we understand that God's blessings demand that we understand the consequences of our sins and the need to turn from them, then we will experience the blessings of God. 

Have a wonderful, safe and enjoyable 4th of July celebrating the blessings of God upon this great nation.  Let it be our prayer that truly God would bless America!!
