During the June business meeting we dissolved two committees of our church.

  1. The Sanctuary Remodeling Team:  This was a major project of remodeling and updating the needs of the Church auditorium.  We are enjoying the fruits of that work.  The members of this committee were:  Kevin Burch, Tom Rohrkasse, Leslie Brock, Bev Hawkins & John Maddox.
  2. The Minister of Youth/Education Search team.  This team was assigned the task of recommending a new staff person to fulfill the responsibility of working with the educational needs of our church as well as working with our young people.  As a result of their work, the church extended a call to Bro. Marcus Daly to serve in that capacity.  The members of this team were: Scott Young, Leslie Brock, Kim Reams, Paula Burden and Trent Weaver. 

We salute the work of these two teams for a job well done.

  • America was protected & directed by God in its founding.  The early colonies had virtually no chance of winning a war against England, short of God's miraculous intervention. And that intervention is exactly what took place in America.
  • America's Government is patterned after Biblical Principles.  Did you know that "America's government is patterned after biblical principles?" Where did the framers of our government get the idea of 3 branches of government? You know that we have an Executive Branch, a Legislative Branch that makes laws, & a Judicial Branch. Where did they get the idea or pattern for 3 branches of government?
    Not from Europe; not from Plato or any of the other philosophers. No, when the framers of our government got together to determine, "How can we best organize our government?" they looked to the word of God. They were influenced by Isaiah 33:22 which refer to God in those same 3 aspects. "For the Lord is our Judge [that's judicial], our Lawgiver [that's legislative], & our King [that's executive]. It is He who will save us."
  • American Law guarantees our religious freedom to practice & Proclaim our Faith.
    "American law, as written by our founding fathers, guarantees our religious freedom to practice & to proclaim our faith regardless of what the Supreme Court may say today."
    The First Amendment of the American Constitution states: "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
    I'm so glad to be an American and to freely worship the Lord our God.  God bless you as together we worship our great big wonderful God.
