Today is Monday, September 17th, and I am sitting here at Dale Hollow Lake, typing this article and reflecting on the wonderful experiences of this Senior Adult Retreat. There are 7 of us from FBC attending this retreat that is sponsored by the Ormsbly Heights Baptist Church. What a wonderful day it has been as we reflected u0pon God's goodness and Grace. I will be speaking twice to this great group of people. Old Fashion Day 2007: WOW! What a great day as we celebrated the 34th Anniversary of Old Fashion Day for the city of Walton. Thanks to everyone who helped make this a wonderful ministry of Outreach. Next year we plan to go all out for another aw3esome opportunity to touch lives with the message of God's free gift and amazing grace. REVIVAL DAYS AHEAD: October 20th-24th: Begin praying now for a great outpouring of God's power and blessings on our "Breakthrough To Victory" Revival. On Saturday night we will be having a Youth oriented service with HeartSong and Dave Safstrom as our Youth Evangelist. Our revival speakers will be: Are you struggling to break through barriers that hinder you from fully enjoying all that God wants you to experience in life? We live in a world that struggles with the barriers of unforgiveness, the guilt of past deeds, bondage to the personal habits of alcohol, pornography, lies and other habits which threaten to destroy our sense of purpose and self worth. If you are searching for answers from God's Word that will enable you to break through to God's Victory, then make plans on your calendar to come and invite your friends to our "Breakthrough to Victory" Revival services. Cottage Prayer Meetings: On Tuesday (Oct. 16th) and Thursday (Oct. 18th) we will be having Cottage Prayer meetings in various homes around our communities. If you would like to host a prayer meeting at your home, please sign up. Invite your neighbors and friends from your S.S. class to attend this special time of prayer for revival. You may want to provide nursery care and refreshments. I am thrilled as I stand in the pulpit each Sunday sensing the sprit of excitement and anticipation among the folks of FBC. God is doing some great things in our presence and I am convinced that we are going to experience a powerful BREAKTHORUGH in Sunday school attendance, baptism, offerings, victorious Christian living and in the various ministries of FBC. |
