June, July and August are going to be three great months for ministry and fellowship.  If everyone does their part this could be the greatest 'Summer for the Savior' ever in the history of FBC.  Just a few key things I would like to highlight in this month's newsletter article.

  • June 1st.  There will be a special reception (June 1st after the evening service) to honor Wayne Rice upon his retirement as our custodian.  His last day on the job will be Sunday night, June 29th. Wayne has been doing this job for 34 ½ years and we are grateful for his ministry of opening and closing doors for all of these years.  Wayne recently received his 62nd year of perfect attendance in S.S.  God bless you Wayne and thanks for all you have done.
  • Father's Day: Don't forget to be present on Sunday, June 15th as we honor our Dad's.  This is their special day and we want to honor all of the Fathers present with our annual Baby Day dedication service.
  • V.B.S.  June 22nd-27th:  "Outrigger Island"
Pray for Bro. Marcus/Bro. Todd as they direct and organize an exciting week of activities for our kids during Vacation Bible School.  This week of fun filled Bible learning, refreshments and sports is a great opportunity of helping boys and girls to learn more about Jesus Christ.  The letters VBS teaches us great truths about this ministry.
    • V- stands for VISION. God wants us to have a vision of what and who these kids can become in Christ. HE created them and loves them.  We can do no less than to love them and win them to faith in Jesus Christ.
    • B-stands for BIBLE.  The word of God is still our main curriculum and we want our kids to learn that God has a plan for them.
    • S- stands for Salvation:  It is our prayer that during this week, many boys and girls will come to know and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.  Don't miss out on the FUN!
  • June 29th:  M & M Sunday/High Attendance Sunday: A special day is planned for all to enjoy.  After Sunday School, and immediately following the morning service we will gather in the old fellowship hall for a pot-luck lunch and fellowship. Around 2:00 pm we will move to the auditorium for our '5th Sunday singin' fellowship.  If you would like to sing or play a musical instrument, see Nate Bordeaux.  On this day we will be recognizing all of our new members who have joined our church in the last 2 years and help them to meet and know our members.  Let's make this a great day of celebration.

God bless you as together we strive to build "A Fellowship of Joy!" through "The Ministry of Encouragement".

 Because of Calvary,
