There are some very special events that will be taking place in the life of our church which I would like to call to our attention.  The life of the Church is sustained by our faithfulness to the Word of God. 
Children's Bible Drills:
Pray for our 4th-5th-6th graders as they continue to work on their memory verses for the Children's Bible Drills. They meet every Wednesday evening with Wally Lane. 
First Love Valentine Banquet:
Saturday, February 17th;
5:30 pm:  Delicious Meal
6:30 pm: Fun and Entertainment
Darlene Yates came by the church office one day and said, let's have a valentine banquet.  What a great idea!  With the help of Bro. Marcus and others we are planning the "First Love Banquet" for Saturday, Feb. 17th.  We will begin eating at 5:30 p.m. and then have some fun, skits and a speaker.  Make sure to get your tickets for this beautiful night of food, fun and fellowship.  There will be a special recognition of the couple married the longest and the shortest on this special night.
It will be held in the OFC building and the cost is $5.00 per person.  There will be a nursery available for children under 5.
Spring Bible Conference
March 4th -7th
This year, our conference speaker will be Dr. David Walters. Bro. David and his wife, Jan currently live in London, KY. I have known Bro. David for many years and he is well known at ?the Walking Bible' for his knowledge and memory of the Word of God.
Make plans to attend this special time of study over I, II and III John.
The Word of God has great power that much of our modern programs and technologies lack.  While it is important that we do more than hit people over the head with the Bible, we do not ever need to be ashamed or embarrassed to take the scriptures and use them as we witness and lead people to Christ.  It is imperative that we live by the Bible and apply the principles of scripture to the life of the church and the life of faith.  See you Sunday as together we sing His praises, search the scriptures and submit to His Will.
